LOEV, Switzerland’s trailblazing sustainable diamond jewellery brand, has unveiled the world‘s first-ever Swiss Made Diamond collection, marking a significant milestone in the global jewellery industry. The collection, featuring six contemporary designs, showcases diamonds grown entirely within Switzerland, harnessing local renewable energy sources.
In a groundbreaking move, LOEV has relocated the entire diamond production process to Switzerland, partnering with Ammil to ensure a supply chain that prioritizes ethical and sustainable practices. The Ammil diamond production facility, nestled in Muotathal, Canton of Schwyz, operates predominantly on 90% hydroelectric power from the local Muota river, supplemented by solar and biomass energy sourced from neighboring Germany. This commitment underscores LOEV’s dedication to reducing environmental impact while maintaining transparency in diamond creation.
Lab-grown diamonds, a hallmark of the collection, offer a compelling ethical alternative to mined diamonds by striving for 100% sustainable production. Unlike traditional diamond mining, which often involves environmentally disruptive practices, LOEV’s diamonds are cultivated with renewable resources, setting a new standard for eco-conscious luxury.
Niels Schäfer, co-founder of LOEV, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “We are thrilled to present the world’s first Swiss Made Diamond collection and set new standards for transparency in this industry.” This sentiment reflects LOEV’s mission to redefine luxury through innovation and sustainability.
Switzerland, renowned for its expertise in luxury craftsmanship, was a natural choice for LOEV to establish its pioneering lab-grown diamond brand. This strategic decision leverages Switzerland’s reputation for precision and quality, enhancing the allure of the Swiss Made Diamond collection.
As consumer preferences evolve towards sustainability and transparency, the global diamond industry faces transformative shifts. Lab-grown diamonds, increasingly popular among Millennials and Gen Z, offer a guilt-free alternative to traditional diamonds, resonating with environmentally conscious consumers.
Christoph Spitzl from Ammil emphasized, “Switzerland offers the logical choice for our leading commercial CVD diamond technology, combining Swiss pioneering spirit with the local luxury industry.”
The debut Swiss Made Diamond collection features an array of cuts, blending modern aesthetics with timeless elegance. Each piece not only exemplifies LOEV’s commitment to superior craftsmanship but also invites customers into a personalized journey from diamond origin to exquisite jewellery creation.
The collection is available for pre-order, with prices ranging from CHF 7,000 to 25,000 (approximately £6,100 to £21,800 GBP), reflecting the premium quality and exclusivity of Swiss Made Diamonds. With certifications starting from 0.5 carats and boasting D-F color and VVS1-VS2 clarity, these diamonds epitomize luxury and sustainability.
LOEV’s Swiss Made Diamond collection heralds a new era of ethical luxury, promising a cleaner, greener future for the jewellery industry while celebrating the beauty and craftsmanship of Swiss design.
