As the leading national trade association for the fine jewellery sector, JA invites submissions across three distinct categories: Jewelry Design, Media Excellence, and Retail Excellence.
This year introduces a significant change as all submissions must be self-nominated. This adjustment aims to empower designers, editors, and retail brands to showcase their full range of achievements directly to the GEM Awards Committee. Nominations will be accepted until August 23, 2024, providing ample time for contenders to prepare their submissions.
Following the nomination period, the GEM Awards Committee will diligently review all entries and select the finalists in each category. These nominees will then undergo evaluation by an esteemed panel of industry experts. The final results, determined by an independent firm, remain confidential until unveiled live during the GEM Awards ceremony.
Amanda Gizzi, Director of PR & Events at Jewelers of America, expressed enthusiasm about the new self-nomination process, highlighting its role in highlighting the outstanding contributions made within the jewelry and watch industry over the past year.
