Recently, Ankit Shah, Director of Ankit Gems, was honored with the prestigious "Forty Under 40" award by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), recognizing his exemplary leadership. This accolade not only celebrates Shah's vision but also highlights Ankit Gems' significant role in fostering innovation and excellence within the diamond industry.

Further solidifying its global presence, Ankit Gems proudly hosted delegates from the G20 at its headquarters. Shah commented, "This moment not only showcased our company's global influence but also affirmed our position as a pivotal entity shaping the future landscape of the diamond industry worldwide."

Beyond that, Priyansh Shah, the second-generation scion of Ankit Gems, who is also a director in the company, met the Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr S Jaishankar. This reflected the company’s growing influence, and also highlighted its commitment to building meaningful connections on both the national and international front.

Additionally, in a strategic move to propel global growth, Ankit Gems moved its sales office to New York. “The move is aimed at bettering client servicing, strengthening relationships in key markets, and further solidifying Ankit Gems’s position as an international leader in the diamond market,” explains Shah. Moreover, in the past year, Ankit Gems secured an allocation from De Beers, Botswana, within a short time of commencing operations there, thanks to its reputation as an adept beneficiator in Africa, and a decade-long track record of processing roughs in Namibia.

Giving back to society

Beyond the realm of business, Ankit Gems continued its tradition of giving back to society that has given it the stature it enjoys today. The company announced the construction of a new school in Palghar district – along with education, students will also receive essentials such as books and clothing. This endeavour reaffirms the commitment of Ankit Gems to education and societal development.

Ankit Gems also collaborated with Project DEEP for an unconditional cash transfer to the residents of Soha village. “The most remarkable aspect of this project was enabling the villagers to exercise their choice. Instead of imposing any causes, we trusted the villagers, and gave them the freedom to decide for themselves as to how they would like to utilize the funds. This innovative approach allowed villagers to allocate funds to causes that impacted them the most, resulting in sustainable growth and improved living conditions,” Shah adds.

Lastly, the period also marked a also marked a grand celebration of its director, Vasant Shah’s Birthday. The celebrations involved not only the employees, but also their family members, thus underlining the familial bond that Ankit Gems has with its employees. The inclusive celebration showcased the commitment of Ankit Gems to create a supportive and inclusive work culture, where every individual feels valued and appreciated.
