Results of Jaipur Jewellers Association election for the term 2014-16 are out

Amidst the excitement at the voting venue for the Jaipur Jewellers Association election, members of the Association elected 15 of the 30 nominees for the term 2014-2016. Candidates were divided in two groups, BARDIYA and KEDIA Group. Both the teams were on toes with aggressive marketing campaigns.

At the venue, both team nominees’ supporters had built up the tempo with their campaign, to see their candidate inside top 15. Altogether 2829 votes were cast and there was an active participation from the jewellers of Jaipur who were keen to ensure the right candidates are in the Association’s committee to decide the future of Jaipur jewellery industry.

The KEDIA group got 8 of its candidates in top 15, which means Vijay Kedia will be elected new President of Jewellers Association, Jaipur for the term 2014-16.

It was a narrow win by KEDIA group member Sunil Sukhlecha, as he managed to be included in the 15th position with just one vote more than the next candidates which were from BARDIYA group.

These 15 candidates will vote for 3 more members, which will make a committee of 18. The committee of 18 will vote for president and other prime positions in the association.
