Speaking about the event, Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC noted that the Indio-Russian trade has been growing with India exporting US$ 10 million worth of gem and jewellery to Russia in 2012. Citing Russia as one of the key emerging destinations for gem and jewellery and the Indian Industry’s endeavours to forge partnerships and penetrate in the region, he mentioned, “The first India-Russia Gemstones BSM will provide a unique opportunity for manufacturers and traders to network as well as book orders for the coming year.”
Over 15 select colored gemstones and jewellery manufacturers from India and retailers from Russia will participate. Discussions, presentations, one-to-one meetings with traders and factory visits in Jaipur are planned for the two days.
The GJEPC along with its Russian Counterpart, Moscow Diamond Bourse (MDB) will be organising the meet. Mr. Alex Popov, President, MDB said “India with its enormous potential to supply best quality gemstones can cater to the rising demand in the Russian markets. Along with GJEPC we have successfully conducted two fruitful Buyer- Seller Meets & this time too we hope to repeat the Success Story.”
Leading Indian exporters and manufacturers from Jaipur are expected to participate in the Summit, and also importers, large retail chains and wholesalers from Russia, thus boosting trade opportunities and building networks within Russia.
