UBM India’s Delhi Show – A Fairly Good Attempt

Delhi Jewellery & Gem Fair 2013 organised by UBM India from 21st-23rd September 2013 at Pragati Maidan New Delhi, turned out to be a good one. The first day ended with a glamorous Fashion Show that showcased exclusive jewellery collection from companies. Although the exhibition was dominated by diamond jewellery and loose diamond companies, UBM India’s attempt was remarkable. Due to bad weather conditions and a popular upcoming exhibition lined up next week, the number of visitors seen at this exhibition were less than expected.

Ashutosh Sharma, Managing Director of Shreem Jewellers, who visited the fair said, “ We would look forward to this show growing in the coming years with greater numbers in terms of footfalls from the trade, as well as from the consumers.”

Siddesh Varsale, Director of Ankitst Exim Inc. said, “We are participating for the first time in DJGF'13 and it has proven to be an amazing platform for discussing business deals.”

Mr. Joji George, Managing Director, UBM India, said, “UBM aims to cater to the entire northern region of India and provide a quality meeting place for the gems and jewellery industry to do business, fostering partnerships and providing valuable thought leadership initiatives."

“It is an advisable time to purchase since the jewellery season is upon us which shall continue till February, 2014.” quoted Parth Sutaria, Hiraco India. To which Shailesh Lukhi, JK Star concluded saying, “It is a good platform to exhibit as last two months have been slow. Hopefully coming months would be better and we expect good potential business.”
