Tibarumals Jewellers is first jeweller from Indian state of AP to win National Jewellery Awards

Tibarumals Jewellers based in Hyderabad, India, hosted a celebratory evening upon winning in the category of “Best Diamond Jewellery of the Year – Contemporary” at the National Jewellery Awards, which has given it national recognition of also being the first jeweller out of Andhra Pradesh (AP) to win this coveted award. The Awards are hosted by the All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) and were presented last month.

The evening saw a gathering of the well wishers and customers of Tibarumals Jewellers, witnessing a a jewellery parade of its collections, with top models. Dr. (Mrs.) J. Geeta Reddy, Minister for Major Industries, Sugar, Commerce and Export Promotion, Government of Andhra Pradesh graced the occasion and stated that “Tibarumals Jewellers getting the award at the national level and being the finalists in three other categories is a very proud moment and we all share the pride. Tibarumals Jewellers, Basheerbagh have been our family jewelers for the last 12 years”. She informed the gathering about the recognition the state of Andhra Pradesh is gaining in terms of investment and that as per the partnership summit held recently about 6.5 lakh crores of investments were towards the state. Also, according to the Association Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), AP stands third in the country for investments.

Mr. Sanjay Gupta of Tibarumals Jewellers, Basheerbagh said that “To be recognized by All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF), a national trade body consisting of manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and exporters from all over India gives me immense joy”.

Showcasing the jewellery at the event were models including Miss World 2009 1st Runner up Parvathy Omanakuttan, Miss India 2008 and Actor Simran Kaur Mundi, Miss India Neha Hinge, Super Model Aanchal Kumar, Super Model Shamita Singha. International saxophonist Ms. Lopez from Columbia and singer Shibani Kashyap also performed during the evening.

The National Jewellery Awards 2012 (NJA-2012) honors every aspect, contribution and endeavor that carves new pathways of innovation and creates new standards of doing business in the gem and jewellery industry. The National Jewellery Award was supported by International Gemological Institute (IGI) as the presenting partner. The awards recognized those who have exhibited exceptional talent and leadership across 31 categories.
