Jewel Goldi launches new factory in Surat

Jewel Goldi (India) a flagship jewellery affiliate of Shree Ramkrishna Export - SRK, has inaugurated a new factory in Surat, which the company describes as “Mr. Perfect Factory”. Explaining this unique description, Jitendra Jodhani General Manager – JGI said, that “After doing a thorough survey across India, we realised that this industry was not as technologically advanced like other industries such as IT and automobiles. That’s when the concept of Mr. Perfect Factory clicked into action and nevertheless the inspiration we received from our parent company and Titan played a vital role in setting up the norms and sharing knowledge”.

The factory was inaugurated on 3rd February 2012, by Mr L R Natrajan CMO Tanishq. Leading names in jewellery industry, retailers, wholesalers and host of well-wishers attended the function.

The factory is built benchmarking the international standards and highest working norms. Mahesh Bhatia – Head of Production stated, “It was executed primarily under our expansion plans of stepping up our production capacity to more than three times this financial year”. Over its eight years of existence, the company has grown its capacity from 20Kg metal and 0.15Million stone capacity per annum to over 900Kg and 5Million setting per annum, respectively on easy notes.

The company is looking to “strengthen our B2B presence in domestic market and take India’s jewel manufacturing concept to the next level,” as described by Sanjay Jaiswal – Head of Operations Sales and Marketing.

JGI was the winner of the IJ Jewellers Choice award - 2011 under the Best Price Point category held on 10Th December-11.
