A delegation from Lesotho is visiting the major diamond trading centres in the world, an initiative of Namwaka Diamonds. This is the first such trip for the delegation and will include visits to trading centres - Botswana, Israel, Belgium, Mumbai & Hong Kong.
Namwaka Diamonds has undertaken this educational trip with the purpose to give its partners within Storm Mountain Diamonds an opportunity to gain better understanding of the diamond industry and of the various trading platforms.
Storm Mountain Diamonds owns KOA, the fourth largest kimberlitic in the southern hemisphere and has its shareholders as Namakwa Diamonds 62.5 percent stake, Government of Lesotho 25 percent stake and Lesotho Citizen Investors 12.5 percent stake.
The delegation is also led by Namakwa Diamonds and includes Storm Mountain Diamond Directors, and Ms Itheheleng Putsoa, the acting commissioner of mines within Lesotho who is taking this trip as honorary guest of the delegation.
