Gold worth Dh3.5 Million to be won at Dubai Shopping Festival

The forthcoming Dubai Shopping Festival could be a treat for jewellery buyers, with its line up of prizes in gold and cash. Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG) has outlined promotions for customers to win kilos of gold and instant cash prizes. ‘Bag of Fortune’, is a promotion conceived in association with the World Gold Council offering jewellery customers a chance to win 21 kilos of gold worth Dh3.5 Million through raffle draws. To enroll in the offer, customers need to spend up to Dh500 on gold jewellery purchases at any of the over 200 participating outlets. Consumers have a chance to daily win half a kilo of gold; and a bumper prize of five kilos of gold on the last day of the festival. The campaign runs from January 20, 2011 until February 20, 2011.

Another promotion entitled ‘Scratch n Win’ calls shoppers of diamond jewellery, pearls or watches to stand the chance of winning Dh3 million in cash, by spending up to Dh1,000 on the said items and obtaining a ‘Scratch n Win’ coupon along with two gold and jewellery raffle promotion coupons.

Jewellery trade in Dubai is expected to get atleast a 50 percent boost during the Dubai Shopping Festival, reports say. Like always, the Dubai Shopping Festival is expected to be the highlight of Dubai’s jewellery trade season this year too, despite the rising gold prices.
