NMDC discovers 34.37 carat diamond at Panna

National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has discovered a diamond weighing 34.37 carats at the Panna mines in Madhya Pradesh, India and has sealed it, reports say. NMDC describes the pear-shaped white gem-quality diamond as one of extremely good quality and the biggest diamond it has sourced so far.

The diamond is expected to be auctioned at Panna soon. The commercial value of the stone has not been determined so far, reports say.
