The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is organising the third edition of its annual event IIJS Signature from February 19-22, 2010 in Goa, and has planned new additions to the event. The IIJS Signature had been conceptualised to be a platform that showcases the best that India has to offer in design, craftsmanship and quality for the gem and jewellery industry. The IIJS Signature 2010 platform will include a separate section for loose diamonds and colored stones, and manufacturers who would present a wide range of diamonds certified by the world’s leading labs. Another segment introduced in IIJS Signature 2010 is the Meet Your Match Online- Buyer-Seller interface and the ‘Your pick of “recession-proof” jewellery and loose stones from the most competitive centre’.
The event is likely to draw international visitors and about 5000 identified domestic retailers. Mr. Vasant Mehta, Chairman, GJEPC, says “IIJS Signature promises to highlight India’s capabilities to manufacture jewellery in terms of design, craftsmanship and quality at par with International centers in the world. The event is by invitation only, and will showcase products from country’s top manufacturers. Signature is an ideal platform to identify and remove impediments that prevails and helps clear the way for a new era of trade cooperation and investment. The show also facilitates a broader business dialogue”.The backdrop of the Goa locale allows for the event to be an opportunity to conduct business with leisure.

The GJEPC has taken efforts to promote the event through road shows in key markets including Beijing, Bangkok, Dhaka, etc; which has yielded 8-10 companies sending participation confirmations from each region. Additional road shows are being planned in Dubai and St. Petersburg. Also, the GJEPC is offering privileged complimentary hospitality package to select 100 International Attendees & 200 Domestic Attendees from all over India and travel facilities to 40 select International buyers from identified markets like Russia, China, Middle East, Europe & USA.
