Alrosa has reported sales worth $1.34 billion between January-September 2009, which also includes the sales to the Gokhran, Russia's State Depository for Precious Metals and Minerals. In September, sales amounted to $651.5 million, majority of them going to the Gokhran.

Since the economic slowdown, Alrosa was keeping vigilance on its sales and had commenced commercial sales in July, by selling around $150 million worth of rough diamonds, and around $200 million worth of roughs in August and September. The company is targeting sales to touch $2.75 billion in 2009 or atleast reach around the same sales volume in 2008. Reports add that the Gokhran is also purchasing polished diamonds.
