Waldman Diamond Company, a Rio Tinto Select Diamantaire, has formed a working tie-up with Gem Certification & Assurance Lab (GCAL) through which the two will certify diamonds mined in Canada, and specifically, from the Diavik Diamond Mine. The focus of this programme is to impart consumer confidence that the diamonds are compliant with the Kimberley Process and the Canadian Diamond Code of Conduct. The Diavik mine has been consistently praised for adhering to the highest environmental and safety standards, and in significantly contributing to social and economic activity of the Northwest Terroritories of Canada.
GCAL was selected as a partner in the programme due to its ability to accomplish a high degree of transparency through its Source VeritasTM Process and Gemprint® technology, which work at finding a diamond’s unique optical fingerprint.
The GCAL laboratories in Israel, New York, and Vancouver, operate the Gemprint® instruments. Also, every Canadian Source VeritasTM diamond comes with the exclusive GCAL 4C’s Zero Tolerance Consumer Grading Guarantee, which provides consumers with the added assurance of the diamonds being accurately graded. GCALCertified Waldman Canadian Diamonds are available for purchase on the website of Certified Diamond Exchange - www.CDEdiamonds.com.
The Waldman Diamond Company, is a leading diamond and jewellery manufacturer, ranked in the top tier of Israeli Diamond Exporters.
