Jovella 2008 is gearing up to deliver some exclusive experiences for the diamond and jewellery industry, as it marks the 60th anniversary of Israel. One such display would be of three one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery crafted in precious stones and diamonds, and designed on the concepts based on ancient Jewish and kabbalistic sources.

One such masterpiece is the 'State of Israel Ring' reflecting the independence of Israel through its burst of fireworks with 48 emeralds set in platinum. The stones symbolise the year of establishment of Israel – 1948.The ring has a black diamond as the centerpiece – a narration of the centrality of Jerusalem to all religions. The green of the emeralds reflects the eco -“green” movement.

The Jovella 2008 is scheduled between 1 July to 3 July at Tel Aviv. It is expected to exhibit 200 exhibitors in the categories of gold, silver, diamonds, precious stones, fashion jewellery, Judaica, watches and luxury items like pens. The three pieces are designed by Haifa-based jeweller Abraham Elisha and will be only for the exhibition and not for sale. It will feature at the entrance to the exhibition which is being sponsored by the IDI Group of Companies and us organised by the Stier Group.
