The goal, in addition to Brazilian companies seeking new suppliers, is also to strengthen ties between both countries by promoting partnerships and bilateral agreements, since for the first time, giant Brazilian companies have confirmed their presence.
From the side of the participants names like UniDesign Jewellery, Hari Krishna Exports, Dharmanandan Diamonds, AuroStar Diamonds, Jewel Art by AsianStar Group, Sandeep Diamond Corp., Venus Jewel and SDC Designs are the pioneers in exploring this large and potential market still little explored by large companies. All those present, including exhibitors and buyers, were selected and personally invited by businesswoman Ali Pastorini and the Mubri team( one of the biggest Jeweller's Association worldwide) to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the event holding pre-scheduled meetings to ensure everyone knows each other during the two days of BSM.
In addition to the Mubri Association, the event also has the support of the Embassy of India in Brazil and will have the illustrious presence of the Ambassador Mr Suresh Reddy at the Opening Ceremony on August 11th at 11 am at the Marriott Bonvoy Renaissance Hotel, also will join the Ambassador and the executive Ali Pastorini the Brazil-India Chamber of Commerce team represented by its President, Mr Leonardo Ananda. The venue will be signed by an architectural firm Olzi that will take care of the interaction environments between guests, the rest lounge and the lunch/coffee break area, creating a pleasant business environment to spend the day and enjoy every second.
This concept has been studied by businesswoman Pastorini and goes along what she has been doing in recent years, combining her expertise in the Latin American market with knowledge and international contacts in the sector: "This first edition purposely wanted to invite few participants focusing the quality and positive retrospect that these companies have at an international level, as I knew the quality of buyers would bring to this event and it would be necessary from the beginning to guarantee to present the best in the sector", explains Pastorini.
The idea of inviting only companies from India in this first edition was not by chance, as the businesswoman in recent post-pandemic years has been strengthening ties with the country and has seen a strong growth in investment in technology and social responsibility by these companies, however the businesswoman points out that this concept will not be limited to Indian companies in a future edition. The objective is to bring companies from other countries that have the same values and market vision to take advantage not only of Brazilian trade but also of the Latin America region as a whole. In addition, she wants to strengthen the Brazilian market by bringing potential partnerships between local and foreign companies, generating more opportunities, jobs and professionalization in the region. Brazil is recognized as one of the largest producers and exporters of coloured gemstones, in addition to having internationally awarded brands and designers. The consumption of jewels and diamonds in Brazil has increased in recent years despite the adversities that the world faces in terms of consumption and Ali saw that this was the ideal time to take advantage." I believe it is the right time for several reasons, it is a door to my country, to Latin America, to place a region that is still not well positioned in our sector, it is to bring quality people and companies to do business and strengthen more a hub in our industry, it's a win-win situation to everybody", completes Pastorini.
