Premiere, for the first time in its 39-year old history, will be held at two different venues in Mumbai city - NESCO Goregaon & JIO World. This distinct move highlights the increasing importance of the gem and jewelry industry in both domestic and export trade in India.
IIJS Premiere 2023 will witness the industry's biggest gathering of domestic and international buyers, and serve as the primary platform for Indian jewellery manufacturers to network with retailers, enabling both segments to gain insight into product design and demand trends.
Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC said, “The Indian economy is the talk of the world and India is a global leader in the diamonds, gems & jewellery trade. The Government has taken several initiatives such as bilateral trade agreements to elevate gem & jewellery exports. In this context, GJEPC's flagship IIJS Premiere show is a benchmark in itself. With its two venues, nine halls, over 1850 exhibitors, and 3250 stalls, the show is poised to become the second-largest gem and jewellery exhibition in the world. It is a must-attend event for maximising business opportunities in the gem & jewellery global arena.”
IIJS Premiere 2023 will be held concurrently at JIO World Convention Centre (JWCC) Bandra Kurla Complex from 03rd to 07th August 2023 (Thu-Mon); and at Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO, Goregaon East from 04th to 08th August 2023 (Fri-Tue).
Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC said, “For the first time in the 39-year history of IIJS, the show will be held at two venues simultaneously, NESCO and Jio World in Mumbai. This is being achieved with minimum changes in the existing floor plan. With hall no. 6 being dismantled at NESCO, dual venues have been taken to accommodate all exhibitors. IIJS Premiere 2023 will be a mega exhibition – bigger and more thrilling than anything done before. This is an exciting step in the evolution of the show and with the industry’s support I'm sure we'll make it a grand success!”
As the IIJS Premiere is organised at dual venues, there will be frequent shuttle services to-and-fro, and entry to both venues with a single pass to make buyers visit seamless. Both venues share 4 common days and each will have 1 exclusive day on 3rd August and 8th August at Jio and NESCO, respectively, to help buyers better plan their visit to IIJS Premiere 2023.
The JIO World Convention Centre (JWCC) will feature more than 500 exhibitors, over 700 booths, and three halls (Pavilion 1, 2, and 3) across a 15,000 square meter area. The product categories at JIO comprise of Diamond, Gemstone, and other studded jewellery; Gold and Gold CZ studded jewellery; Loose Diamonds; Lab-grown Diamonds; Couture; Laboratories and Education; and International.
The BEC Goregaon exhibition will showcase over 1350 exhibitors and 2550 booths, spread across six halls (Hall 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7), covering a vast area of 55000 square meters. The product sections featured here include Diamond, Gemstone & Other Studded Jewellery; Gold & Gold CZ Studded Jewellery; Loose Stones – Colour Stones; Silver Jewellery, Artefacts & Gifting Items; Allied & Machinery.
The GJEPC will continue with its "One Earth" initiative, which was initiated just before IIJS Signature in January 2023. As of today, 187 contributors have planted a staggering 51,219 trees. The objective is to plant 100,000 trees this year.
