Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., a leading diamond manufacturer in India, hosted a blood donation camp on 13th February 2023 in honor of the 10th anniversary of their headquarters in The Capital, BKC, Mumbai. The event aimed to promote the importance of well-being and the values of supporting each other, in line with theUnited Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
The open-for-all event encouraged maximum participation, resulting in the collection of 426 units of blood. This drive was one of the three such events hosted annually by HK, which has collected over 17,015 units of blood from their Mumbai and Surat offices till date.The event was attended by Chief Guests Mr. Suhas Warke, Sp. IGP, Mumbai and other renowned dignitaries from the diamond industry, who appreciated HK's commitment towards philanthropy and employee happiness.
Speaking about the event, Ghanshyam Dholakia emphasized the noble cause of blood donation, which brings immediate relief to those in need. He urged more people to join the movement and prevent lives from being at risk due to a shortage of blood.
The blood donors were presented with wall clock, certificates, and books along with their donor cards as a token of appreciation for their contribution towards saving lives.
HK's blood donation camp aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages. HK sets an example for other companies to follow in promoting health and well-being in their communities.
