To celebrate the spirit of womanhood and their contribution in varied fields, Director of Kiran Gems, Dinesh Lakhani gifted precious diamond earrings to his 425 women employees at a gala event planned especially on the occasion of Women’s Day. “This gesture,” said Lakhani, “was essential to honour and respect the entire female work force at Kiran Gems, as they are a symbol of power, dignity, justice, hope and equality.”

Taking inspiration from new age women flying fighter planes as well as the early torchbearers like Lata Mangeshkar, Lakhani referring to Indra Nooyi of PepsiCo, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Executive Chairperson of Biocon, Nirmala Sitaraman, the Honourable Finance Minister of India and Kalpana Chawla, the immortal astronaut as “The face of our country.”

Speakers included Saroj Rajesh Lakhani, Dipal Dinesh Lakhani, Rasilaben Mavjibhai Patel and Srushti Munjalbhai Patel. They were unanimous in their view that woman have the power to change the world as they are versatile, dedicated and work with determination. The spirit of women they said would be the key driver of change for all. Finally, the proud Lakhani asserted, “We truly believe that the next wave of growth will be driven by the women force,” and called his women employees to “Keep Shining!”
