According to reports by the Antwerp World Diamond Center, the trade of polished diamonds has increased considerably in Antwerp during November. In the same period, trade of rough diamonds declined.

Polished stone exports scaled up by 26.4% to value at $1.05 billion, in comparison to November of last year. In volume, polished exports moved up by 5.12% to amount to 829,071 carats. Imports of polished stones in November surged by 26.0% to value at $873.3 million.

For the eleven months January - November, polished exports were higher by 12.8% to $9.85 billion and in volume by 6.9% to 8.86 million carats. In the same period, imports also hiked up to 10.8% amounting to $9.27 billion, and in volume by 4.9% at 9.12 million carats.
