The Bharat Diamond Bourse is hosting Bharat Diamond Sports League (BDSL) to promote brotherhood, goodwill and sportsmanship among its members. The cricket tournament is being held at Wilson Gymkhana ground in Mumbai from 8th April till 15th April 2018.
The opening ceremony was graced by GST Commissioner Vijay Rishi, IRS, GST Commissioner Rajiv Jalota, IAS, Bhushan Gagrani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, CIDCO, Dr. Surendra Bagde, IAS, GM, BEST along with who’s who of the diamond industry.
It all began with opening parade by all team members and their owners. The tournament features players from companies like Asian Star, Ankit Gems, Bharat Diamond Bourse, Mahendra Brothers, Blue Star, Palanpur Samaj Kendra, Jewelex, Venus Jewel, Shree Ramkrishna Exports, GIA, Rosy Blue and Jasani.
Day 1 witnessed a thrilling and exciting game played by MB Mavericks owned by Mahendra Brothers, SRKians owned by Sri Ramkrishna Group, Palanpur Nawabs owned by Palanpur Samaj, Asian superstars owned by Asian Star, Venus Tigers owned by Venus Jewel and Rosy Blue.
MB Mavericks defeated Asian stars by 12 runs; SRKians defeated Venus Tigers by margin of 3 wickets and Palanlur Nawabs defeated Rosy Blue with margin of 3 wickets.
