De Beers Group Marketing awarded the winners of Diamond Season 2008, on the January 18, 2008. The awards night marked the end of the Diamond Season 2008, a festival celebrating diamonds and held across six cities in India over the last month.
Addressing the gathering, Prasad Kapre, Business Director, De Beers Group Marketing said “We have seen a growth of around 27 percent in India, and 30 percent in Mumbai alone. It indicates the changing consumer habits. Exclusivity is not only about design; it is the whole shopping experience. The awards are in recognition of the immense contribution made by the retailers.”
Awards were given out in eight categories namely- Best Display to Notandas and Sons, Best Collection to Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (TBZ), Best Showcase Display to Ghanasingh Signature, Best Showroom to Mahesh Notandas and Anmol Jewellers, Best Window Display to Popley La Classic, Best up-coming Jeweler to Jayesh Art Jewellery, S Girdharlal Adenwala and Anand Jaganath Pednakar, Best Shopping Experience to Mehta Emporium and Danabhai Pallazio and Best Innovation to TBZ Original.
