Bonaparte Diamond Mines and Diamond Fields International, who conduct joint marine mining operations off the Namibian Coast, have recorded good sales and production results.
The second quarter of 2007, ending June 30, recorded a production of 20,269 diamonds of weight 8,279 carats and an average size of 0.43 carats per stone. The sales were generated by three transactions which sold 9,224 carats in the said period, bringing the total revenue to $1,919,676, and total sales till date to $2,226,018 for 10,567 carats, with an average value of $214 per carat.
