IJ Awards Grand Jury Meet at Sofitel, Mumbai

IJ Jewellers Choice Design Awards is slated to have acclaimed panel of jury to choose the best design. The seven-member jury would meet at Sofitel in Mumbai on November 15, 2014.

This year, it is an honour to have Rajiv Jain : Ex-Chairman of Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India, Secretary, Jaipur Jewellery Show, Director, Sambhav Gems; Nirupa Bhatt : Managing Director, Gemological Institute of America (India & Middle East); Bunty Bajaj : Jewellery Designer, Mumbai; Poonam Soni: Jewellery Designer, Mumbai; Aftab Saif Bandukwala : Architect & Interior Designer, Mumbai; Sounia Gohil: Fashion Designer, Mumbai and; Miss Manasi Moghe, Miss India Universe 2013.

We have been overwhelmed with the response for the awards so far. We have received 500+ design entries in 22 categories, out of which 89 designs got shortlisted for the grand jury meet. The panel of jury members will select 22 winners. Each jury will give points on a scale of 1 to 5 on various factors for each design like Innovation, Wear-ability, Uniqueness, Finishing and Designing. Some of the jury members are the veterans and the most celebrated names of the industry. Rajiv Jain has a vast experience and knowledge of rough stones identification and manufacturing of the same; a GIA veteran Nirupa Bhatt has received several global accolades for her contributions to the gemstone and jewellery industry; Bunty Bajaj is a designer par excellence of the breathtaking Krsala jewellery; Poonam Soni is a renowned jewellery designer.
