Daneli Jewellery Pvt. Ltd. is an India based company which belongs to the Kappagi Group. The company has been dealing in jewellery and loose diamonds in the Indian jewellery sector for the last 40 years. Its in-house jewellery brand, Charade, is known for its quality and finish and is sold in top retail stores in Europe. It is the first Italian corporate to have set up a state-of-the -art factory in Andheri, Mumbai. The company which was earlier an export unit will now cater to the Indian market too.

Daneli Jewellery specializes in diamond jewels made with natural colored diamonds like pink, champagne or grey gems. It’s collections of treated black diamonds set with natural diamonds are a connoisseur’s delight. Innovative techniques in settings are a unique feature of Daneli Jewellery. The company, in particular, is known for its nine-stone setting of diamonds which from a distance looks like a solitaire. For its innovative designs, the company will be acquiring a design patent and a technical patent which will be effective in the United States and Europe.

The Italian promoters of the company are Moris Tehranian and his sister Linda who are part of a second generation business family dealing in textile and fashion products. The family started dealing in rough diamonds from Africa when Linda married her husband Kamy who traded in diamonds and precious gemstones. The brother-sister duo were impressed with the natural color of diamonds and this fascination culminated in a jewellery manufacturing business. The brand Charade was born and Moris along with his sister and brother-in-law established a jewellery manufacturing unit at Valenza, Italy.

Linda along with her team of designers based in Italy has designed jewellery which is a fusion of tradition and modernity. The design team combined the ancient manual craft of gold chiselling along with a rediscovery of the diamond rose cut technique to manufacture genuine works of art for its consumers. Jewels with irregular shapes coming to life with the brightness of diamonds is an expression of feminity for refined women looking for a new way of wearing something unique. Linda’s collection of black and white diamonds is inspired by the 1982 hit single ‘Ebony & Ivory’ sung by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. Other well-known collections of Daneli Jewellery are the Sunset Collection in cognac diamonds and the Sunrise collection in canary diamonds. The winter collection of Green and Grey diamonds was warmly hailed in Europe.

Daneli Jewellery plans to sell its products to India’s niche jewellers “as only they will understand its quality” says Neeraj Kayathwal, a Director of the company. The company will also be exhibiting its products at Hyderabad and the IIJS-2009.
