Prepare to be mesmerized as New Bond Street hosts the London Jewels auction on June 13th. With 120 lots on offer, this sale presents a breathtaking collection of jewellery spanning various eras, from Archaeological Revival pieces to a remarkable selection of signed Art Deco jewels. Among the highlights are a rare Bulgari clip brooch and exquisite bracelets from the 1930s by Boucheron and Cartier. The event will also showcase a 1950s diamond bracelet by Van Cleef & Arpels and an impressive range of certificated diamonds, fancy coloured diamonds, emeralds, Kashmir sapphires, and bold 1960s and 1970s statement designs by renowned brands.

Leading the auction is a Mouawad diamond and fancy coloured diamond ‘Toi Et Moi’ ring. This exceptional piece features a radiant-cut fancy intense blue diamond weighing 5.03 carats, obliquely set with a radiant-cut fancy purple-pink diamond weighing 5.13 carats, accented by pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds of pink and blue tint. With an estimate of £1,000,000-1,500,000, it promises to be a highlight of the sale.

Another notable lot is a Belle Époque Marcus & Co. enamel, pearl, diamond, and gem-set brooch dating back to circa 1895. Adorned with iridescent cloisonné enamel and embellished with old-brilliant and rose-cut diamonds, circular-cut emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, this brooch is a testament to exquisite craftsmanship. It features a central pearl of purple tint surrounded by an old brilliant-cut diamond quatrefoil, culminating in a natural pearl drop, and is estimated to fetch £60,000-80,000.

Jennifer Tonkin, Bonhams Co-Head of Department, Jewellery, UK, expressed her enthusiasm for the auction: “London Jewels showcases best-in-class examples from every era, offering a wide range of exquisite pieces, including coloured diamonds in various hues, antique jewels with ancestral provenance, and exceptional signed Art Deco pieces. It is a rare opportunity for collectors and specialists alike to acquire pieces of such beauty and historical significance.”

The auction also features notable diamonds, such as a diamond fringe necklace circa 1950, a 19th-century diamond rivière necklace, and a rare Van Cleef & Arpels Art Deco diamond bracelet. Fancy coloured diamonds take center stage with highlights including a Graff coloured diamond pendant necklace, a coloured diamond and diamond ring, and a William Goldberg for Boodles diamond and coloured diamond bracelet.

Exceptional signed Art Deco pieces include a rare Cartier rock crystal and gem-set bangle, a Bulgari Art Deco double diamond clip brooch, and a Cartier Art Deco black lacquer and diamond cuff bangle.
