This exclusive collection, part of the "Royal & Noble Jewels" sale in Geneva, includes 114 pieces that have remained out of public view for nearly a century.

Titled “A Tsar’s Treasure: Ferdinand of Bulgaria (1861-1948),” the auction is expected to draw global attention, with the jewels estimated to fetch between $1.2 million and $1.8 million. The collection includes personal items belonging to Tsar Ferdinand, heirlooms from his mother, and pieces passed down through his family. Among the highlights is a yellow gold tie pin featuring a 2.08-carat fancy gray-blue diamond, estimated to sell for $500,000 to $700,000.

In addition to Tsar Ferdinand’s personal adornments, which include opulent items like cufflinks and cigarette cases, the collection features jewelry from renowned European houses such as Bapst, Eugène Fontenay, and Castellani. Notable pieces include a colored gemstone and diamond bracelet, estimated at $40,000 to $60,000, and a ruby, sapphire, and diamond bracelet attributed to Bapst, expected to sell for $30,000 to $50,000.

The auction offers a rare glimpse into the personal tastes of Tsar Ferdinand and his family, reflecting a century of high jewellery craftsmanship and royal heritage across Central Europe.
