Leading the sale are a 16.73-carat very light pink diamond and a rare 1.44-carat fancy red diamond, both highly anticipated to attract global attention.
The pink diamond, which is VVS1-clarity, natural colour, and brilliantly cut, is expected to fetch between CHF 1.1 million and CHF 1.8 million ($1.3 million to $2 million). The stunning red diamond, from Australia’s legendary Argyle mine, is also set to captivate bidders with its extraordinary rarity and beauty. The red diamond will be presented in a claw-set ring, with a cut-cornered rectangular mixed cut, accompanied by an Argyle mine presentation case.
Sotheby’s describes the sale as a celebration of exceptional craftsmanship, featuring jewels from the most esteemed designers of the 20th century. In addition to these striking diamonds, the auction will include a selection of coloured diamonds of remarkable quality and size, showcasing some of the rarest hues in the world.
