The Jewelry Symposium (TJS) has officially opened registration for its 2025 event, set to take place from May 17 to May 20 at the Detroit Marriott Troy. The annual international event, dedicated to advancing jewellery manufacturing technology, is also now accepting scholarship applications for students and aspiring jewelers, courtesy of generous sponsor Studio 2015.
“We’re excited to welcome new participants in 2025, and the response to our call for speakers has been exceptional,” said Linus Drogs, Chairman of the Board for TJS. “Our team is thrilled to offer scholarships again this year and has made the process earlier to ensure awardees have plenty of time to plan for this transformative event.”
Celebrating its third year, TJS 2025 promises to be a dynamic event, with an expanded program due to the high-quality submissions received. The symposium will feature respected industry experts from around the world, offering deep insights into cutting-edge topics like design software, additive manufacturing, generative AI, and sustainability, as well as key discussions on recruitment and talent development to address the industry's skills gap.
The event will kick off with a networking dinner on May 17, followed by three full days of presentations on topics ranging from metallurgy, jewelry manufacturing processes, and gemstones to safety practices and critical industry trends. This symposium will serve as a valuable platform for bench jewellers, designers, manufacturers, students, and press members to exchange knowledge and ideas.
Scholarship applications for TJS 2025 are now open, with a deadline of January 3, 2025. Students, interns, apprentices, or those early in their jewellery careers are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to attend this prestigious event.
