Jewelers of America Unveils 2025 Gem Award Finalists

Jewelers of America has revealed the distinguished nominees for its 2025 Gem Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements in jewellery design, media, and retail innovation

The 23rd annual Gem Awards will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, gathering leaders and innovators from across the jewellery industry.

In the category of Jewelry Design, this year's nominees include Copenhagen-based designer Sophie Bille Brahe; Beth Hutchens, founder and creative director of Foundrae in New York; and Beirut’s Selim Mouzannar, each recognized for their unique contributions to the art of jewellery-making.

The Media Excellence category honours industry voices who amplify the jewellery world’s stories and trends. This year’s nominees are Sam Broekema, editor-in-chief of Only Natural Diamonds by the Natural Diamond Council; Paige Reddinger, watch and jewellery editor at Robb Report; and Trace Shelton, editor-in-chief of InStore.

Competing for the Retail Excellence award are Brooklyn-based Bernard James; the Chicago-based CD Peacock, a three-store chain; and Reinhold Jewelers, a five-store operation in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Adding to the evening’s honours, John A. Green, president and CEO of Lux Bond & Green, will be recognized with the 2025 Gem Award for Lifetime Achievement, celebrating his significant contributions to the industry.
