Diamonds Do Good Reveals New Board

Kathy Corey, former owner of Day’s Jewellers, has been appointed as the president of the leadership team for the nonprofit organization Diamonds Do Good (DDG). Corey, who continues to serve on the board of the Maine- and New Hampshire-based jeweller, will fulfil a two-year term, according to DDG's announcement on January 22. Joining her on the executive committee are Peter Engel, a retail jewellery consultant who will serve as president-elect, and Anna Martin, the immediate past president, who recently stepped down from her role as senior vice president of institute and industry relations at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Additionally, David Bonaparte, the CEO of Jewellers of America (JA), will take on the role of treasurer.

 DDG has also expanded its board with the addition of five new members:

 1. Sarin Bachmann, group vice president of Reed Exhibitions Jewellery Group.

2. Allison Katz, president of Krupp Group PR.

3. Lola Oladunjoye, designer at the jewellery brand Lola Fenhirst.

4. Pritesh Patel, senior vice president and chief operating officer at the GIA.

5. Constance Polamalu, chief operating officer at Zachary’s Jewellers.
