A fancy-vivid-purplish-pink diamond ring will be the highlight of the upcoming Hong Kong jewellery sale at Christie’s, with an expected price of up to HKD 50 million ($6.4 million).

The ring features a cut-cornered rectangular mixed-cut, 2.68-carat, internally flawless diamond center stone, encircled by kite-shaped and round diamonds, Christie’s announced on Monday. This piece will be a key attraction at the May 27 Magnificent Jewels sale.

This auction will conclude Hong Kong Luxury Week, which includes sales of wine, handbags, accessories, and watches. It also signifies a significant change for Christie’s jewellery sales. The May auction will be the last held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre before the move to the Henderson building in September. Additionally, Christie’s is transitioning from its traditional two-season schedule for Magnificent Jewels sales—in spring and fall—to a year-round calendar.
