Founded in 1793, Bonhams is one of the original Georgian London auction houses and is owned by the UK-based private equity firm Epiris. With a vast global presence, Bonhams operates 14 salerooms worldwide and offers items in over 60 collecting categories. In 2022, Bonhams expanded its reach by acquiring four prominent auction houses: Bukowskis in Stockholm, Bruun Rasmussen in Copenhagen, Skinner in Boston, and Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris.
Swiss-born Nouri brings extensive experience in international luxury and retail to her new role. She previously served as CEO of Piaget, the Richemont-owned watch and jewelry company, where she worked for seven years. Before her tenure at Piaget, Nouri held various positions at Cartier over a decade-long period, following her graduation from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. In 2022, she joined the Mirabaud Group as a Private Equity Partner.
Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, Bonhams’ Executive Chairman, expressed confidence in Nouri’s appointment: “Having served as a CEO of a leading luxury company and in her most recent role as a co-manager of a private equity fund, Chabi has proven abilities as a strong brand-builder and for digital innovation.”
Nouri herself shared her enthusiasm for joining Bonhams: “I am delighted to be joining Bonhams, which has a long heritage, rich history, and strong values as an auction house, as well as a reputation as an innovator. I look forward to building on these strong foundations and focusing on Bonhams’ core DNA.”
Bonhams continues to strengthen its leadership team as it builds on its legacy and explores new opportunities in the global auction market.
