For the fifth time, the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) is organizing to host an Israel Diamond Pavilion during the India International Jewelry Show (IIJS) in Mumbai and this year the pavilion will feature eight Israeli companies.

The IIJS is slated in August.

The interest taken by the Israel diamond industry to participate at the IIJS seems to be growing each year, but the limited space available at the show has not allowed many companies to participate. IDI has given up its own space in the booth to make way for an additional company. IDI Chairman Moti Ganz said that Israel and India have a great deal in common – in terms of business outlook, culture and values. “Both countries have important diamond industries, with long history and tradition. They are also two of the world’s leading diamond centers. Israel and India can complement each other in both manufacturing and trading,” he said.

The companies exhibiting are: AG Diamond Direct Ltd., Hausman Diamond Manufacturers, Julius Klein – Eliaz Diamonds, Shlomo Bichachi Diamonds Ltd., Sorum Diamonds, Regent Diamonds Ltd., Sahar-Atid Diamonds Ltd. and Vulcan & Co.

IDI Managing Director Eli Avidar said that the Israeli Diamond Industry views the Indian diamond sector as an important strategic partner. “IDI is committed to enhancing Israel’s trade connections with the Indian diamond industry,” he said.
