GJEPC envisages great potential in terms of possible business opportunities being transacted between contingents from these countries and Indian traders, hence the choice of these cities. The roadshows by GJEPC have in the past proved successful in generating good participation and the same is expected this year too.
Commenting on the roadshows , Chairman GJEPC, Mr. Rajiv Jain said , “We have seen tremendous response from various countries by way of participation in the IIJS, however we see a huge potential of business associations being formed with these countries and hence the attempt to visit these countries and present to them the myriad possibilities that India presents as a global destination for design and sourcing of jewellery.”
The IIJS has grown over its 29 editions to be the Asia’s second largest B2B platform for the gem and jewellery industry. It has been attracting participation from leading companies along with a growing number of national and international trade visitors. Last year saw a 24 percent increase in visitor registration and over 33,000 trade visitors, both Indian and international.
As an impetus and to promote greater participation of contingents from these destinations, the GJEPC is offering an incentive of a hospitality package for IIJW and IIJS.
The roadshows are scheduled as 23rd May 2012 - Kualalumpur , Malaysia; 25th May – Singapore; 27th May Jeddah; 29th May Riyadh; 18th June –Korea and 20th June in Shenzen , China.
