A report by Reuters said reported that there was still an over supply of gems in the world diamonds market even with the cut down in prices.

The report also stated a De Beers official who said that diamond trading company might not meet its sales targets this year.

As compared to last year the prices of polished diamonds havent risen. Also, the market was very speculative last year, specifically in rough diamonds.

People were paying extra above the DTC price infrequently.
