International Gemological Institute (IGI) is preparing to participate at the forthcoming Indian International Jewellery Show, (IIJS) 2010, with live service of some of its grading and testing services. At its booths, which will be present in Hall 1 and Hall No. 5, IGI will provide information and showcase services on certification and education.

In 2009, IGI was the first laboratory in the history of tradeshows to have a live grading laboratory at ‘IIJS’ and will continue the same trend this year too with gemologists from Antwerp. Also this year, it will introduce ‘Jewellery Grading on site’ allowing jewellers to bring their jewellery for a due diligence to verify the quality they are buying. The gemologists present at the IGI booth will determine the quality and discuss the clarity color of the jewellery being verified. One-to-one meetings with the directors of IGI, branded loupes, grading kits, microscopes, tester pens for sale, will all be part of the IGI booths this year at IIJS.

On the occasion, Mr. Tehmasp Printer, Managing Director, IGI India said – “In last 12 years with the state of the art machinery and expertise, IGI has dramatically improved making the Indian Manufacturer, at par with International Standards. Combining this with International grading expertise of IGI, puts India truly on the world map as Brand India which today the world recognizes on the same parity as that coming from Israel, Antwerp, etc.”
