With this, the DMCC members will receive more comprehensive services across diamonds, coloured stones and pearls sectors. This will enable DMCC offer more personalized and concentrated services, resulting in more effective business for its members.

DMCC executive director Gaiti Rabbani will lead the Precious Gems division. The new division will look after the working of the various industry related summits for all sectors of precious gems organised by DMCC like the Diamond Summit, World Pearl Forum and Gem Show. Peter Meeus who has been appointed as chairman of the board of directors of Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), will lead certain special projects at the DDE.

Another new division - Diamond Control Office (DCO) will be set up to look into the trading of diamonds and the implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS).
