JAS-08 begins on a positive note

Unique trade platform, inviting B2B and B2C business opportunities

Jaipur hosted the second edition of Jewellers Asociation Show – 2008 (JAS 2008), beginning today, inviting consumers and trade at large. The show incorporates both B2B and B2C networking, which makes it unique. Organisers have made efforts to deliver Japiur’s gemstone and gemstone jewellery industry at its best, and attract attention from international leaders.

The inauguration was performed by guest of honor Dr. Digamber Singh, Minister of Industries , Government of Rajasthan in absence of the Chief guest of the event Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan. As guests of honor included SN Gupta, Chairman, Removal of Public Grievances Committee, Government of Rajasthan and Sanjay Kothari, Chairman, Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC).

Organisers, , it is organized by the Jewellers Association of Jaipur, have scheduled two hours during the show for B-2-B trade. “This year we have 270 stalls exhibiting in Jas '08 which is spread across 3,000 square feet of area," said Vivek Kala, President of Jewellers Association Jaipur. The number of exhibitors have increased by 50 percent over last year. Another improvisation of its first edition has been the introduction of two new exhibition halls – the Grand hall and Tuscan hall. The consumers can attend the show on all four days. The first day has begun on a positive note with exhibitors expecting good mileage in terms of sales and business networking.
