The Israel diamond industry will reveal its new brand identity with an international campaign to be launched at the BaselWorld 2006 show. The new brand is the result of an extensive strategic research process led by the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) over the past year, in association with Parazar Brand Boutique.

The launch will take place at a press conference on March 31 in the presence of Israels Ambassador to Switzerland, Aviv Shir-On. Nicky Valentine, DTC marketing manager, global brand development, will speak at the conference on the subject of international trends in branding

Shmuel Schnitzer, chairman of IDIs marketing and communications committee and president of the WFDB, will talk about the Israel diamond industry, while Dan Ben Ari, CEO of Parazar Brand Boutique will present the strategic and creative considerations behind the new brand identity.

IDI Chairman Simcha Lustig said that the launching of the new brand identity signified the strength of the Israel diamond industry, as well its ability to reposition itself in the wake of the monumental changes affecting the global diamond market. Lustig said that he was confident that the upgraded brand would contribute significantly to the industrys marketing efforts, which IDI has spearheaded in the past several years
