Since its launch, the HRD Antwerp Lab Link service has launched its three centres apart from Belgium; Israel, Hong Kong and Mumbai. To celebrate this, HRD Antwerp and its Israeli partner Malca-Amit will host a special reception at the Israel Diamond Exchange on April 15. The event would welcome the President of the Israel Diamond Exchange, Mr. Avi Paz and feature a speech by leading Israeli financial journalist Nehemia Shtrasler.
There would be a raffle at the reception with two winners receiving 10 HRD Antwerp Diamond Lab certificates and three Malca-Amit Lab Links, transportation fees, to and from Antwerp. The Lab Link was launched in April 2007.
The Lab Link service gives direct access to the HRD Antwerp - Diamond Lab to diamond industry members outside of Belgium. It provides full diamond certificates, fancy color diamond certificates, laser inscriptions with the HRD Antwerp Certificate ID number inscribed on the girdle, and sealing, which guarantees the association between the stone and the certificate. It is also grades limited sized and single stones.
The Lab Link provides a pick-up certification service for the Israeli diamond sector. It allows collection of diamonds from the client’s office and the return of the stones after certification at the HRD’s Antwerp offices. The Lab Link to Israel was the first step toward the lab's expansion into the leading diamond trading centres outside of Belgium. HRD Antwerp and its logistics partner Malca-Amit launched another Lab Link service in Hong Kong on March 8 at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair. HRD Antwerp launched the service in Mumbai as well on April 7.
