IDI representatives said that they have been assured by the show organizers that that they are prepared for every contingency and that the exhibition will not be affected.

The Israeli pavilion, located in Hall 9 of the Asia World Expo, will again be one of the largest at the show. It will comprise 59 Israeli diamond companies and will encompass over900 square meters. There will also be 16 additional Israeli companies exhibiting at different locations throughout the show.

The IDI Lounge at the heart of the pavilion will feature a 360 degree bar outfitted with Get Diamonds Show search terminals and a charging station for smartphones and other devices. Get Diamonds Show is a search platform in Chinese and in English that enables buyers to search a database of all goods offered by Israeli exhibitors at the show. The search platform is also accessible on smartphones.

IDI Chairman Boaz Moldawsky said, “Despite the unrest in Hong Kong and a slowdown in the Chinese market we are cautiously optimistic about the show, which remains one of the most important trade events of the year. I am glad that we will have a major presence at the show, 75 exhibitors in all, and I am certain that our pavilion will attract a large amount of traffic. I am hopeful that the large amount of buyers expected will translate into positive business results for our members,” he said.
