DATA diamond tech introduces hi-tech machinery for diamond sector

Next generation of products would be an integrated system for the counting, sorting and weighing of diamonds

Established in 2001 with the express purpose of developing groundbreaking technologies for use in the diamond sector, DATA Diamond Technology Ltd. has introduced its first two commercially vailable systems.

The first is an automated rough Diamond Counting Machine, able to tally large parcels of merchandise, and the second is a hand-held device for Weighing and Measuring the diameter of polished stones for the global diamond industry.

One of the missions of DATA Diamond Technology Inc. was to provide solutions for challenges faced by the diamond sector, by employing technologies that to date have not been used in the industry.

DATA Diamond Technology’s new research and development center is situated at Har Hotzvim in Jerusalem. Chairman of the board of directors is Dov Nardimon, an industrial engineer with more than three decades’ worth of management experience at several of Israel’s leading manufacturing companies. He also is responsible for the commercialization of DATA Diamond Technology’s new products. The founder and CEO of DATA Diamond Technology is Yuval Lichi, an industrial designer with rich experience in bringing new technologies to the marketplace.

One of DATA Diamond Technology’s strategies is to develop instruments for the diamond industry that can also be used for the colored gemstone industry. Meanwhile, the company believes the next generation of its products will be an integrated system for the counting, sorting and weighing of diamonds.
