NSQF is an internationally recognized parameter to measure the skills acquired by an individual. The scheme offers are cognition to artisans who have obtained skills through informal mediums of learning by providing them with a certificate after successful assessments. The scheme offers the employer the flexibility to conduct assessment of its employees within its premises through their Supervisors or Managers. The scheme also offers attractive benefits like monetary reward of Rs.500/- to each certified artisan along with an accidental insurance policy upto Rs. 2 lac for a term of 3 years.
With a keen desire for the welfare of the employees SRK Group is the first in the Diamond Cutting & Polishing group to have enrolled its employees for the Recognition of Prior Learning Scheme (RPL) – 4 under PMKVY Scheme through Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI). The Assessments were conducted at the very premises of SRK Group in Surat byGJSCI.
As GJSCI promotes the Digital India campaign the assessments too were conducted through an online digital platform thereby making it more efficient, convenient and in an expediated manner. The employers were satisfied with the manner in which the entire process was carried out without any loss of working hours. This has encouraged them to further continue and enroll its 2827 employees under RPL-4 (BICE) which is planned in 3 phases. So far, 1903 employees have been assessed and certified in the pilot phase of RPL-4 which completes the 2 phases.
