DIAMONDS ALROSA will auction its own polished diamonds during the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair in September.
The first auction will take place on September 13-17, introducing large colourless diamonds, as well as certified fancy coloured diamonds, including yellow, green, orange and purple colours.
The second auction will be held on September 19-22. Diamonds of small and medium sizes as well as brown diamonds will be introduced there.
“We’ve chosen this assortment in accordance with demand on the Asian market. Large diamonds of more than 5 carats are very desirable for premium segment jewellery, and diamonds of less than 1 carat – for the mass market. In addition, we’ll for the first time present on the auction the full range of fancy colours of diamonds, mined by the JSC "Almazy Anabara”, Pavel Vinikhin, Director of DIAMONDS ALROSA, said.
During the Fair, DIAMONDS ALROSA will also introduce The Dynasty, a unique collection of diamonds, to potential clients. The collection will be sold at a special online auction scheduled for November 2017.
The Dynasty collection consists of five diamonds and was created from a 179-carat rough diamond. The Romanovs, a unique rough diamond, was recovered from Nyurbinskaya kimberlite pipe in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2015. It took a year and a half to create the collection.
The Dynasty, the main 51.38-carat diamond, is a 57-facet traditional round brilliant-cut diamond, Triple Excellent, D, VVS1. As to overall characteristics, it is unprecedented in the history of Russia – it is the most expensive diamond with the best clarity characteristics ever cut in our country, the chef d'oeuvre of Russian polishers.
