The Israeli Diamond Industry is planning on making a splash at the JCK Show – Las Vegas June 1 – 5, 2007, with 65 Israeli companies participating. This is the one of the most important events on The Israeli Diamond Industry calendar, since the United States accounts for the largest portion of Israel’s total polished diamond exports, reaching $4.0 billion out of a total of $6.6 billion in 2006.
Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) Chairman Moti Ganz said, “The Israeli Diamond Industry is gearing up for a great show in Las Vegas. All of the Israeli exhibitors have invested huge efforts in preparing for the show and they all have wonderful collections to show. We place a great emphasis on creativity and innovation and I’m sure that will be evident at the show.”
He added that Israeli diamond companies have learned to gear their goods to the U.S. market, and that has brought excellent results. “We’re looking forward to a wonderful show. The U.S. is our major market -- every second diamond sold in the U.S. is an Israeli diamond – and this is the most important annual show in this market,” he said.
IDI Managing Director Eli Avidar said that IDI is on a marketing thrust and this will be apparent in Las Vegas. “IDI is placing huge efforts in our marketing campaign. In the very near future we will be opening new international offices, expanding into trade shows in new markets, launching new web-based initiatives, and rolling out the second stage of our branding campaign,” he said.
IDI will again host a large Israel Diamond Pavilion at Level One on International Drive, with 35 Israeli manufacturers and exporters exhibiting. In addition there will be 30 Israeli companies exhibiting throughout the show.
IDI is at booth 50118 in the Pavilion, and has an image booth as well at number 5049 on the upper level.
