International Diamond Week inaugurated today

Israel is hosting hundreds of diamond dealers from all over the globe during the winter edition of the International Diamond Week in Israel, which is taking place between February 14 and 18 at the Israel Diamond Exchange in Ramat Gan.

The show was formally inaugurated today with the renowned British jeweller Stephen Webster being the Guest of Honor. Other dignitaries present at the occasion were Yoram Dvash, President, IDE; Shmuel Schnitzer,Chairman, IDI; Eli Avidar, Managing Director, IDE; Gaetano Cavalieri, President, CIBJO.

Diamond buyers and jewelry representatives from more than 20 countries – including Panama, Italy, Hong Kong, Turkey, Russia, the US, China, Belgium, India, Germany, and Switzerland – are taking part in this dazzling event.

It attracted lot of traders especially from Indian, Belgium and US. People are looking for first-hand fresh goods and grab the opportunity before the Hong Kong show which is happening next month. The demand is there but availability looks less.
