Kiran Gems opens a giant new diamonds manufacturing unit in Surat

Kiran Gems Private Limited, the world’s largest manufacturer of diamonds, has recently opened its huge polished diamond manufacturing unit in Surat. This new factory is a part of planned strategy to streamline its manufacturing units of larger diamonds. It is 500,000 sq ft factory and houses various functions in the cutting and polishing process. The unit will be using the state of the art manufacturing capacity for planning, cutting and polishing diamonds. A well known planning and marking company has also acknowledged Kiran Gems for having the highest number of sophisticated machines to plan and mark diamonds for cutting and polishing.

Kiran Gems processes over 5.5 million carats of rough diamonds to meet the demands of its customers based globally. This is new factory will play a crucial role for the company smoothing the rough diamonds processing logistics and cutting down processing time significantly. Thus, it is considered to considerably strengthen the inventory of certified diamonds and enable Kiran sales team to service their customers’ demand even efficiently.

On the occasion, VS Patel, Chairman of Kiran Gems, said “Kiran has a long term view and strategy for the diamond industry and this factory is a part of it. In the past also we have continued upgrading and we will continue doing it in the future. It is instrumental to provide excellent quality of diamonds and observe cost optimisation in order to create a sustainable business. This factory is designed to fulfill that.”
