Surpassing expectations, COUTURE INDIA 2021, which was held between August 28 and August 30, turned out to be a blockbuster event, with attendance and involvement being of a much higher level than presumed. The show was well-timed, keeping in mind the wedding and festive season, which begins soon after the monsoon

Held at the prestigious Taj Diplomatic Enclave, the event was attended by over 60 big names of the industry, with some of them being Achal Jewels, Solanki, Raniwala 1881, Neetti, Sparsh Jewellers, Sanskriti Jewellers, Ghatiwala, Romil Jewellery, Uma Ornaments, Rosentiques, and so forth. Exhibitors pulled all stops to come out with some truly rare and precious jewellery collections. Two lavishly decorated halls – Hall of Sparkle and Hall of Heritage – were reserved for the exhibits. An exclusive space – Hall of Facets -- was dedicated to loose stones. The chief guests included Avinash Gupta, Mamraj Mussadilal (Exhibitor); Arpit Kala (Show Organiser); Ashish Pethe, Chairman, GJC; Anand Shah, Anand Shah Jewels (Exhibitor); Jayant Kulkarni, MD, HRD Antwerp, India; Vijay Khanna, Khanna Jewellers; Alok Jain, Delhi Jewellers Association; Alok Kala, Publisher, Indian Jeweller magazine.

Speaking at the event, Arpit Kala said, “It gave me great pleasure to welcome all our guests, invitees and visitors to COUTURE INDIA 2021.

The gems and jewellery industry has gone through a difficult time, and being able to host a physical show of this stature and prestige was a great honour. I am positive that the event will turbocharge the industry and kickstart a cycle of networking, buying and selling, which will benefit all the stakeholders and invested parties.”

COUTURE INDIA has been one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year, and this time, it came as a huge respite to the industry in that a curated B2B luxury boutique show was held in the physical form after a long time. One of the reasons why the industry loves COUTURE is because of the networking opportunities it presents in the evenings. This time, the first day concluded with the second edition of India’s Coolest Stores Awards, with the show being compered by Siddharth Kannan. Besides, there was an entertaining interlude performed by MC Sid, who kept the audience in splits with his rapping and instant quips about the jewellers. In keeping with the ‘cool’ mood, the awards were presented by the super-cool actress, Chitrangada Singh. The evening was sponsored by Achal Jewels & Laxmi Diamond. Exhibitors and buyers felt elated on the evening of the second day, with a fantastic performance by the band Himalayan Routes, headlined by musician Loki Verma. The evening was sponsored by Achal Jewels.
