3rd IIJW to unfold in August

The third edition of the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) is unfolding in August between 19 to 23, 2012, brining a new opportunity to promote jewellery design and in particular India’s talent as the design destination for jewellery. The event will not only showcase established design houses and designers, but new talent as well. Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is hosting the IIJW 2012 at the Grand Hyatt, in Mumbai.

This year, over 32 leading designers and jewelry brands will participate. The participants’ list includes - Gitanjali Gems, Eekani Jewels, Laxmi Jewellery, Dwarkadas Chandumal, Amrapali Jewels, Gehna Jewellers, Dynamic International (HK) (Malpani), Agni Jewels, Anmol Jewellers, Ganjam, YS 18, Cappuccino Collection, Kays Jewels, Infinity Creations – Japan, Raksha Enterprises, D. Navinchandra, Jewels Emporium, Kashi Jewellers, KGK Entice , Birdichand Ghanshyamdas, Jaipur Jewellery Show, among others. Designers such as Tanvi Garg, Dipti Amisha, Preeti Jain, Farah Khan, Zeenat Desai (US) and well known institutes such as GIA, IGI promoting their young talents.

The first four days at the IIJW 2012 will showcase collections from designers and design houses. GJPEC brand ambassador and Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor will walk the ramp for some collections. The fifth day of the event will showcase the best of best amongst the participants. A highlight at the showcasing will be a special segment by Japan’s leading and eminent jewelry designer Ishikava Nobuko, a pioneer in introducing design to jewelry in Japan. Also Bollywood celebrities will take the ramp accompanies by leading models.

IIJW is an initiative to showcase India's finest in jewelry, be it design, innovation, craftsmanship, technology or quality to the customers around the globe. This year’s event is expected to host many international buyers and media.
